Thomas will use his in-depth knowledge of German, Austrian and Swiss healthcare systems to help you launch your product in these markets.

You can rely on his international experience in selling and marketing medical devices to get the best for your product in your target markets.

Thomas specialises in analysing the market and funding situation specific to your technology. He and Translucency can help you get the best possible reimbursement for your product in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

He will work with you whatever stage you’re at: if you’re right at the start of your marketing process, Thomas will undertake customised reimbursement analyses and produce a roadmap for your product in German-speaking countries in Europe. He can ensure market access and implement the strategies you put together. Thomas will prepare and submit formal reimbursement applications, with comprehensive evidence analysis to demonstrate value and cost-effectiveness. And he’ll develop all the support materials and tools you’ll need, and teach you to use them, to get the best results for your product in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

Thomas has a strong scientific background, with an MA in Clinical Linguistics and a PhD in Pedagogy from Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. He took part in the EUR-ASSESS project on Health Technology Assessment and is a prolific presenter and writer about German health care policy and medical device reimbursement.

Before he started working with Translucency, Thomas was area sales manager and European marketing and reimbursement manager for cochlear implant technology. He was responsible for strategic reimbursement and pricing in German-speaking countries as a senior consultant for Medical Technology Consultants (now Quintiles MTC). And he is founder and managing director of Medalliance Gmbh, Translucency’s German partner.
